Michael died peacefully here in Sydney after a short illness, with Marion, Michael my brother and I by his side to guide and comfort him. Dad was generous and clever. He was an astute business man and respected marine engineer, who loved to share his knowledge with all. He loved and cherished his close and extended family. Michael was always up for a chat with all and at the age of 92 and right up to his last days, was up to date with world affairs.
Michael has left behind his wife, Maria Farnes Greene, who was diagnosed some years ago with Parkinson's. Although her symptoms were relatively mild Michael spent his last few years caring for Maria and helping her live with the symptoms of the disease.

With the help of our generous clients we are donating monies accumulated over the last few months; payments for small repairs and verbal valuations carried out in our small shop by Victoria and Michael. We would like to donate under the light hearted name The Parkin Sons. Best wishes to all carers and those suffering from Parkinson’s.
