As most of you already know, my uncle James was diagnosed with Parkinson's 12 years ago. In 2023 he underwent deep brain stimulation which was a huge success.
Since he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s he has carried himself with courage and strength, despite the day-to-day challenges he has been faced with.
It’s no comparison to what my uncle has to go through daily, but I have set myself the challenge to swim 20km over the month of April in order to raise awareness and support for Parkinson’s NSW.
