Meet Dean

Dean had been training for the Sydney Running Festival for over 18 months, and he planned to run the entire 42km. But, unfortunately, the COVID-19 situation in NSW in 2021 made it impossible to stage the event that year.

Dean did not let COVID restrictions stop him. Instead, Dean organised to run the 42Km in his local government area on 19 September.

"I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2013 and spent the next 4 or 5 years not knowing what I could do about it. That's when I came across Parkinson's NSW. They headed me in the direction that I am going now."

"The support from Parkinson's NSW inspired me to assemble The Dean Team and raise funds for the organisation."

"I have been overwhelmed by the support from family, friends and my work colleagues for my fundraiser."
