Meet the McCarthy family

When Bill first noticed a tremor in his pinky finger, he never imagined Parkinson’s would take away his mobility and independence.

For his wife, Debbie, the diagnosis meant stepping into the role of carer and navigating a maze of appointments, medications and uncertainty.

Years later, their daughter Dani, just in her early 40s, began showing symptoms too. At first, doctors dismissed them. But Dani knew.

“Before I even sat down for the consultation, he said, “You know what you’ve got? And I said, “I’ve got Parkinson’s.” - Dani

Why Your Support Matters

Parkinson’s is the fastest-growing neurological disorder in Australia. Every day, 38 people are newly diagnosed and one in five is under the age of 50. By 2040, the number of Australians living with Parkinson’s is expected to double.

Government funding remains limited. That’s why your compassion is critical.

Your donation will ensure that families like the McCarthy's have the guidance, care, and connection they need, not just today, but for every step ahead.
